Influence of Sodium Salicylate and Antipyrine on the Plasma Corticosterone level and Brain Norepinephrine content in mice

Abstract
In this paper, the influence of large dose of sodium salicylate and antipyrine on the plasma corticosterone level, brain norepinephrine (NE) content and blood sugar level of mice were investigated.
The results obtained were summarized as followings;
1. Plasma corticosterone level were significantly increased in 30 minutes and 60 minutes after sodium salicylate and antipyrine treatment.
2. Brain NE content was significantly decreased in 30 minutes after sodium salicylate treatment, but not affected after antipyrine treatment.
3. Blood sugar level was significantly increased in 90 minutes after sodium salicylate treatment, but not affected after antipyrine treatment.
